# How do I create a geofence group?
## Create a geofence group from My Assets, Settings or a vehicle's Profile page to report on similar geofences together in the Geofence Report.
A geofence group lets you gather similar geofences together — for example supplier sites, employee homes or work sites — so you can report on them as a group in the Geofence Report. You can create a geofence group from the My Assets page, the Settings page, or a vehicle's Profile page.

## How do I create a geofence group?
1. From the side bar, select **My Assets**.
2. Click the blue **Manage Groups** button.
3. On the Manage Groups page, click the blue **Add Geofence Group** button.
4. In the pop-up box, enter a name for the geofence group, then click the blue **Create** button.
You can also reach the same Manage Groups page from **Settings \> Groups**, or from a vehicle's own Profile page by clicking **Create a new group** — all three routes open the same Add Geofence Group form.
## How do I apply a geofence to a geofence group?
1. From the side menu, select **Geofences**.
2. Find the geofence you want to add to a group, then tick the edit column next to it to open the geofence on a map. 3. In the white area above the map, click the **Geofence Groups** box. A drop-down list of your existing geofence groups appears — search for and select the group you want to apply.
4. Click the blue **Save** button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
## How do I know it worked?
The geofence group you created appears in the Manage Groups list, and any geofence you've assigned to it shows that group when you reopen the geofence for editing. Reports run for that geofence group will include every geofence you've assigned to it.
## What if it doesn't work?
If the group you created doesn't appear in the Geofence Groups drop-down when editing a geofence, refresh the page and check the group was saved from the Manage Groups screen. If a geofence still isn't included in a Geofence Report after being assigned to a group, confirm it was saved with the **Save** button on the geofence's own edit page — assigning the group and saving the geofence are two separate steps.
