How do I create a Check Sheet template?

  1. From the Argus Dashboard, go to Fleet Management > Check Sheets > Check Sheet Templates.
  2. Click the blue New Template button to create a new template, or select the edit icon next to an existing template to modify it.
  3. Choose to start from a default template under Generate From Default Template, or leave this blank to build from scratch.
  4. Give your template a distinctive name — this is what your team will see on the app.
  5. Add sections to categorise your questions by typing a section name and pressing enter. You can add more sections later if needed.

How do I add and edit questions?

  1. Click Add Question to start a new question from scratch, or add one to a default template. To edit an existing question, click on it and modify it as needed.
  2. Select or deselect the Required checkbox to set whether the question is mandatory.
  3. Choose the section the question belongs to.
  4. Enter a question title, for example "Tyres are inflated to the correct pressure".
  5. Optionally, add a description with extra instructions, for example "Tyre pressure should be 40 PSI".
  6. Select a question type from the Select a Question Type drop-down — see the Check Sheet question types for what each type does.
  7. Click Add Question to save it, and repeat until your template is complete.

When you've finished, click the blue Save button to save your template. Clicking Cancel or exiting the screen discards any unsaved changes.

How do I know it worked?

Your template appears in the Check Sheet Templates list with the name and sections you set, and its questions appear in the order you added them when a driver opens it on the Check Sheet app.

What if it doesn't work?

If your changes are missing after leaving the screen, you likely exited or clicked Cancel before clicking Save — unsaved changes aren't kept. If a question doesn't behave as expected on the app, check the correct question type and Required setting were selected when you created it.

This article doesn't cover how to use the finished template on the app — see how to use the Check Sheet app.
