How do I set up an ASSIST asset?

Create an ASSIST asset from Settings > Device Management to bring an untracked item into your Argus account so you can run a Check Sheet and manage compliance on it, without a GPS device attached.

What you need before you start

  • Access to Settings > Device Management.
  • Details of the asset you're adding.

How do I set up an ASSIST asset?

  1. In the Argus Dashboard, go to Settings > Device Management.
  2. Under Select Job Type, select Create a new Assist Asset.
  3. Complete the asset detail fields.
  4. Tick the confirmation checkbox to acknowledge the asset will incur charges, then select the blue Submit button.

How do I know it worked?

The new ASSIST asset appears in My Assets and in Fleet Management, and you can now run a Check Sheet on it in the same way as your tracked assets.

What if it doesn't work?

  • Not sure what an ASSIST asset costs: the confirmation step tells you the asset will incur monthly charges — contact your account manager or Argus support to confirm current pricing.
  • Can't find "Create a new Assist Asset" in the Job Type list: confirm you're on the Device Management page under Settings.
