How do I set up drivers to use the Check Sheet app?

A Check Sheet-only driver is set up as a Driver user under Settings > Users and Drivers, giving them app access to Check Sheets only.

A driver who only needs to complete Check Sheets, without tracking or reporting access, needs to be set up as a Driver user in the Argus Dashboard so they can download the Check Sheet app. A Driver user only sees the Check Sheet tab on the app — they can't access reports or view vehicles.

How do I set up a driver to use the Check Sheet app?

  1. From the Argus Dashboard, go to Settings > Users and Drivers and click the blue Add button.
  2. Under User Profile, choose Driver. This is compulsory.
  3. Enter the driver's first and last name. This is compulsory.
  4. Enter the driver's email address, if they have one. The Driver profile is the only profile that doesn't require an email address — you can skip this step if they don't have one.
  5. Enter the driver's mobile number. This is compulsory.
  6. Enter the driver's job title. This is compulsory.
  7. If the driver belongs to a group, select the appropriate group or groups. Skip this if they're not associated with a group.
  8. If you entered an email address, tick Send Email Invitation at the bottom of the page, then click the blue Save button. If there's no email address, just click Save.

How do I know it worked?

If you sent an email invitation, the driver receives a welcome email with their login details, which they use to log in to the app. If you need to resend it, use Forgot Password on the login page to reset it. Once their profile is set up, the driver downloads the Argus Tracking Check Sheet app from Google Play or the App Store, and logs in with their credentials — if their profile doesn't have an email address, they log in with their mobile number instead, see how to use the Check Sheet app.

This article doesn't cover using the app once a driver is logged in — see how to use the Check Sheet app.
