What is the Argus Tracking iFrame feature

The iFrame feature embeds your Argus Spectate map into your own website using a unique URL from your Account Manager and a simple iframe HTML tag.

The Argus Tracking iFrame feature lets you embed your Spectate maps directly into a website you control, such as a public site or an internal intranet, using a unique URL your Account Manager provides.

Also known as / customers also ask: iFrame, embed Spectate map, embed tracking map, website map embed, iFrame HTML, iframe integration

What does the iFrame feature do?

It lets you place your Argus Tracking Spectate maps on any website you can edit, so your customers or personnel can view your Spectate maps on your own website without needing access to the Argus Tracking website itself.

How does the iFrame feature work?

An iFrame is an HTML element that displays your Spectate map inside your own web page. Your Account Manager provides a unique URL, which you place inside an iFrame HTML tag on your website. The URL can be scoped to show a single vehicle, a group of vehicles, or all vehicles, depending on what you request.

The HTML you build uses a standard iframe element with a width, a height, and a src attribute set to the unique URL your Account Manager gives you. You can adjust the width and height to control the embedded map's size on your page.

Who uses this and when would I use it?

Organisations that want to show live vehicle locations on their own public website or internal intranet, without giving external users access to the Argus Tracking platform itself.

What do I need to use it?

A website or intranet page you can edit HTML on, and an active Argus Tracking account.

How do I get started with iFrame?

Contact your Account Manager to have the feature added to your account and specify which vehicle, group, or all vehicles you want the iFrame to show. Your Account Manager then provides the unique URL to include in your iFrame HTML.
