What you need before you start

  • Access to the asset's profile page.

How do I deactivate a Driver ID buzzer?

  1. From the side menu, select My Assets.
  2. Select the blue Profile button below the asset with the buzzer you want to deactivate, to open its asset profile page.
  3. On the profile page, below the images and groups box, find the row of feature toggles. A toggle is blue when it's turned on.
  4. Select the Buzzer Enabled toggle so it turns white (off). If it's already blue, selecting it turns the buzzer off.
  5. Select the blue Save button to save your change.

How do I know it worked?

The Buzzer Enabled toggle shows white (off) on the asset profile page after you save, and the buzzer no longer sounds in that vehicle when a driver doesn't log in with their tag.

What if it doesn't work?

  • The buzzer still sounds after I turned the toggle off — check you selected Save after changing the toggle; changes aren't applied until you save.
  • I can't find the Buzzer Enabled toggle — it only appears if the asset has iButton Driver ID hardware installed and enabled. Don't activate a Driver ID toggle if this hardware isn't installed.

This article doesn't cover setting up Driver ID itself — see Driver ID. If the buzzer still sounds after checking the above, contact Argus support.
