What is the Vision AI data allowance?
Each Vision AI camera has a 3 GB monthly data allowance. This is consumed by Live View, Video Playback, Video Downloads, Evidence Uploads and Image Uploads.
What happens when a camera reaches its allowance?
Once a camera's allowance is used up, event video, live view, playback, downloads and image uploads become unavailable for that camera until the allowance resets on the first day of the following month. Tracking continues as normal, and the camera keeps recording locally to its SD card in the meantime. If you need a larger allowance, contact Argus support or your account manager about a larger data pack.
What does a Vision AI Data Consumption alert do?
It warns you, by email, app, or both, when a camera's data usage reaches a percentage threshold you choose — for example 50%, 75%, 90% or 100% — so you can plan around a camera approaching its allowance before it's exhausted.
How do I set up a Vision AI Data Consumption alert?
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Select Create Notification to create a new alert, or the edit icon beside an existing one.
